I’m a huge comic book nerd, so I already knew Martian Manhunter’s love of cookies.
I also love OREOs.
So this one felt almost too obvious once I thought of it.
Martian Manhunter can fly, shapeshift, walk through walls and read minds, but one of the most relatable things about him is that he really likes a cookie. That contrast is what made the crossover interesting to me.
His powers make him extraordinary.
His OREO obsession makes him relatable.
Instead of just putting a superhero on a package, I wanted OREO to become one of the little things that makes Earth worth sticking around for.
EARTH HAS ITS PERKS.

Founding member of the Justice League?
Eh, probably not.
Telepathy?
Unlikely.
Shapeshifting?
Would be a cool party trick.
Finishing an entire row of OREOs before realizing what happened?
Now we're talking.
Knowing that more "Stuf" usually means more good?
Now we’re getting somewhere.
And opening a pack with friends, only to immediately start negotiating who gets the last one... or two?
Apparently, some things do not require telepathy.
Martian Manhunter may be able to fly, walk through walls, and read minds.
But when it comes to OREO, he's a lot like the rest of us.
Because sometimes the easiest way to feel right at home is to find something worth sharing.

His weakness isn’t kryptonite.
It’s in the cookie aisle.

No one needs to read your mind. You want another.
Super strength. Telepathy. Shapeshifting.
And excellent taste.
